All cosmetic tattooing procedures are a multi-session process and will require a follow up after 6-8 weeks.

This is because Cosmetic Tattoo pigments are made up of smaller pigment particles that are suspended in a diluter and smaller pigment load - this allows for a more natural, softer colour in the skin, that can be layered to create a much more realistic finish.

Traditional tattoo inks are much more concentrated which means that they are a lot stronger in colour.

If you leave the follow up appointment longer than 8 weeks, you will not be eligible for the complimentary follow up and will be charged a $100/$150 fee. 

• YOU ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE NUMBING GEL FOR YOUR PROCEDURE. This is a non-negotiable and must be ordered through a compounding pharmacy as it needs to be specifically formulated for cosmetic tattooing. • Any waxing or tinting should be done at least 48hrs prior to procedure.
• Please don’t wear heavy makeup to your appointment. I will need to remove the makeup around the treatment area, so I can determine your true skin colour and undertones. This is vital for choosing the right colour. 
• Do not tan two weeks prior or have a sunburned face.
• Do not have any type of facial/peel 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Discontinue Vitamin A/Retinol products 2 weeks prior to treatment.
• Do not work out the day of the procedure.
• Do not have anti-wrinkle/filler 2 weeks prior.
• Eyeliner clients must not have lash extensions on. They should be removed 48 hours prior. If using a lash growth serum, please discontinue use at least 2 weeks prior. Serum thins the skin and effect how the skin absorbs the pigment.
• Please be aware that having a procedure done while on your menstrual cycle can make you hypersensitive.
• Do not take Fish Oil or Vitamin E one week prior (natural blood thinners).
• If you are having Lip Tattooing and have a history of Cold Sores/fever blisters/herpes simplex, you will be required to obtain the proper antiviral tablets by a prescription or over the counter to prevent an outbreak. (Take Lysine 5 days before your treatment, take a double dose on the day of and the day after treatment, then continue normal dosage for another 5 days). If tablets are not taken you can be at high risk of a break out, this will cause tattoo pigment to fall out in areas of sores.

If any of the following applies to you please contact us prior to your appointment as these can be contraindications to your procedure:

• Currently on blood thinners /taking Aspirin or any blood thinning vitamins (eg. Fish oil)
• Blood Clotting Condition
• Heart Conditions/Pacemaker
• High Blood Pressure
• Pregnancy/Breastfeeding
• Immune conditions
• Thyroid Condition
• Diabetes
• Cancer/Chemo/Radiation in the past 12 months
• Skin/Blood Diseases or Infections
• Keloid Scarring
• Steroids
• Accutane/Acne Medication
• Lash growth serum

Be prepared for how dark/bold/intense the colour will be, straight after your procedure. 

It takes roughly 7-10 days for the outer layer of your skin to heal, after this you will notice the colour will soften and fade approximately 30-50%.

At your touch up, I’m then able to correctly assess the colour and make any adjustments.

• Do not expose your healing skin to direct sun, wind, tanning beds, hot water, saunas, salt water, pool water for at least 7-10 days following the procedure.
• Do not touch, rub or traumatize the pigments area. Do not pick, peel or scratch your healing skin as you may cause uneven healing of pigment, or you may risk infection or scarring.
• Do not soak the tattooed area. You may wet the clean but just a gentle wipe over with nothing other than cool, sterile water.
• No fragranced soap, moisturisers, makeup etc until completely healed.
• Please avoid excessive exercise for the first week of the healing process as sweating can cause colour loss
• Aftercare cream - For Brows: use a thin layer of cream as a barrier when you are washing your hair or face. When they start peeling you can apply a thin layer of cream to stop itching. Otherwise, let them breathe and heal naturally. Treat them just like an open surgical wound. 
• Aftercare cream- For Lips: keep lips moisturised at all time for at least the first week. Use a fresh cotton tip to apply cream to avoid contamination. You do not want them to dry out and crack.
• After cream - for Eyeliner: eyeliner heals best when simply left alone. No mascara or eyeshadow for minimum 1 week. No lash extensions for 2 weeks.

Please remember that cosmetic tattooing is a process and requires a minimum of 2 procedures to reach the desired results. In some cases, Lips & Eyeliner can require a 3rd appointment.

Everyone heals differently depending on skin type, immune system and lifestyle and there are no guarantees. 

Results will be dark and bold immediately after and will soften and fade approximately 30-50% during healing. 

During weeks 2-4, your colour may look as though it has disappeared. This is completely normal. The pigment will settle between weeks 4-6, which is why I recommend a touch up around weeks 6-8.
